“Every girl dreams of their ‘Perfect Wedding Day’, after spending months and months planning our wedding day I felt I needed someone to co-ordinate the actual day so I need not worry about a thing and enjoy the day. We had a planned a complete DIY wedding at a DIY venue, so what was actually quite a simple rustic wedding was not so simple without hotel managers etc. After just the 1st meeting I knew our wedding day was in safe hands, Weddings by Claire were full of excitment and enthusiasm for how we could envisage our day going. On the actual day WBC made my wedding day my perfect wedding day. I could not fault a thing, they were in the back ground always busy making sure everything was perfect and checking up on us and if we needed anything. “We hired Claire as our on-the-day coordinator for our wedding at Polhawn Fort. While we were confident in our pre-wedding planning abilities, since we are both transplants from other countries, neither of us had close friends or family members familiar enough with the area to help manage things on the wedding day. Enter Claire! We originally thought her job would be fairly relaxed; primarily being the point-of-contact for all our vendors, making sure things got set up in time for our arrival at the reception venue from the church, and just being there to make sure things would run smoothly. More fool us! As it turned out, the vintage bus we hired as wedding transport couldn’t go over 30 mph, and a major road was closed due to an accident near our venue, meaning the bride, groom, and guests arrived an hour and a half later than planned. Though the Type-A Bride had been worrying during the entire bus ride to the venue, it was a relief to be greeted immediately by Claire on our arrival, and be told how she had rearranged our schedule for the evening to ensure we still got our photographs, canapés, dinner, speeches, and first dance in within a reasonable amount of time. She kept us on schedule throughout the entire night and handled everything with the caterers and photographer to make sure the delays didn’t affect anything too significantly. She even offered to stay an extra hour and a half to keep things running smoothly. A complete relief to us! It must also be noted that though we had a minimum of decoration of the venue in mind – it has plenty of character on its own – we did have table lanterns to set up, and we left it to Claire to use her own aesthetic sense to do it in a way that would look nice. Everything looked perfect and fit in well with the overall ambiance of the Fort. Claire was excellent to work with and did a brilliant job handling the schedule changes on our wedding day. It was exactly what we needed and she kept us happy throughout the whole evening. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to other couples in need of assistance!.“

“We decided to sign up to Claire’s wedding planning service about 4 months before our wedding. After getting engaged in February we had set our date for September, then were slightly thrown but delighted to find out we were expected a baby at Christmas! We had made many of the major decisions, but were on a fairly tight budget and both working full time, with increasing levels of pregnancy exhaustion and no parents close by enough to help. Claire’s Partial Wedding Planning service was perfect for us – from our first meeting she made us feel very at ease. We were able to hand over supplier confirmation and coordination, and also lots of the finer details, to our huge relief. She had lots of ideas for inspiration, and plenty of local supplier contacts, which meant lots of the fun details on the day felt effortless, and exactly as we’d hoped. In the run up to the day, Claire was always on hand with advice, reminders and lists, meaning we always knew how things were going and always felt very organised too! Our decision to have a church wedding 10 miles from a local village hall, with several different suppliers, could have led to disaster, but on the day itself, Claire was brilliant – efficient, organised, and very, very calm, even when our caterers through up unexpected difficulties at the last minute. “I cannot remember exactly how I stumbled across Weddings by Claire, it may have been liking one of the pictures of the decoration pieces she offers, on Facebook. Either way, I originally got in touch to hire decorations from her for my wedding. We spoke a few times about the possibility of coordination of top of the decoration hire. Three weeks before the wedding, I reached breaking point and realised there was no way I would get my perfect day without some expert help. Enter Claire for pre-wedding coordination and Jess for on the day coordination. The load that was taken off my mind was unbelievable, and I entered into the last few weeks pre-wedding countdown genuinely excited about the day, instead of feeling last minute planning panic and thinking “I can’t wait for this all to be over” – a way I never thought I would, or wanted to feel about my wedding day!If I did it all again, I would definitely have gotten Claire in on the coordination sooner. That said, she has to be given a huge amount of credit for the late stage she did come in on helping coordinate our wedding, and still did an absolutely stellar job. Even though we had already made some major decisions about the wedding like the venues, there was much more to be decided.
